Keracolor Naturals
Everyone loves wild fashion shades, but with fall here it’s fun to try some darker looks! Our Natural selections are perfect for going darker this season, and if you need a little spice- we have some fun shades you can still use for the spooky season!
SOLO SHADES
We have 7 natural colors to choose from in our Color + Clenditioners. Blonde or brunette, there’s something for everyone! Keep in mind though that our Keracolor shades do not have the ability to lighten or lift your current hair color. If you already have a dark brown hair color, applying shades like Honey will not work for you as our Color + Clenditioners only have the ability to deposit color. If you’re blonde- the best colors to use solo on your hair would be Honey, Copper, Merlot, or Mocha Latte! If you have very light brown hair- using any of our naturals would be great besides Honey! Check out our Naturals Collection below:
BRUNETTES
We have a few brunette shades to choose from so let us tell you the difference to ensure you grab the right one!
Mocha Latte- on blonde hair this gives you the perfect “bronde” tone, and on darker blonde it gives the “mushroom brown” effect. This is our newest Naturals shade and a fan favorite!
Mocha- an ashy light brown shade that works best on dark blonde hair or darker. This has a cool undertone so applying this on too blonde of hair should be avoided.
Espresso- a warmer, rich dark brunette color that looks beyond gorgeous! While this is a warmer tone, because it is so dark this is not recommended for light blonde hair. If applied on too light of hair you risk it fading green. Be sure to apply on very dark blonde hair or darker to achieve best results!
CRISP CONNECTIONS
Obviously these colors are gorg on their own, but making a witchy potion is way more fun if you ask us! Here are some of the best fall blends we love using the Natural shades:
Merlot & Mocha or Merlot & Espresso- Light or dark brown options with just the right amount of auburn mixed in!
Copper & Honey- Pumpkin Spice Latte vibes!
Copper & Espresso- A yummy copper brunette combo!
If you’re up for extra fun you can always mix our natural shades with any colors from our Vivids Collection too! Adding our Red Color + Clenditioner to our brunette colors or even with Copper are great fall options too!
The colder weather is coming and it’s time for a new fall look! Whether you’re wanting to take a ride to the dark side or spice it up with a splash of Merlot, you will be FALLing in love with the Naturals Collection!
How Long does Keracolor Last?
Our Color + Clenditioners contain semi-permanent direct dye pigments and will gradually fade out from hair. The amount of time the product will last in hair is dependent on the condition and porosity of the hair, and the intensity of the shade. Lighter colors tend to fade out faster, like Light Pink, Rose Gold and Mint. The more stubborn shades are the Blues, Espresso, Onyx, Purples, and Teals which tend to stay in hair the longest. If your hair is damaged and very processed, you may see a much longer fade out process. For the more stubborn shades, a direct dye remover may be needed. Any time you are doing a drastic color change, it’s best to consult with a salon professional.
The Light Pink is best used on hair that is a very light blonde or pre-lightened. Both Light Pink and Rose Gold are from our Pastel Collection and have less direct dye pigments than many of our other colors. If you have virgin hair, try applying to dry hair, and more consecutive washes or longer processing times may also be needed. If you have medium-blonde hair and still want pink tones,Hot Pink would be a better option.
Will the Mocha or Espresso cover my gray hair?
Our products contain semi permanent direct dye pigments so they are not recommended for full gray coverage. You may see some gray blending from certain colors. However, not all gray hair will pick up the color; some people have great results and some do not see anything.
How do I choose between Mocha and Espresso for my hair?
Both colors are recommended for hair that is a medium blonde or darker and both are great as refreshers for hair that is already brown. The Mocha is more of a neutral to cool tone while the Espresso is more of a warm tone. Espresso is darker and richer and has a longer fade out.
Will Color + Clenditioner show up on dark hair?
On dark hair that is color treated, you will see more of a jewel-tone effect that can be seen in direct sunlight with the more vibrant shades. Espresso and Onyx will have the most impact on hair that is a light brown or darker.
Can I use Color + Clenditioner on virgin hair?
Yes, you can use Color + Clenditioner on virgin hair. You may need more consecutive washes and longer processing times to achieve the results you are looking for. You can also apply directly to dry hair, let process and rinse thoroughly. Also, be sure you are choosing a shade that will work with your current hair color.
How often should I use Color + Clenditioner?
Our color is buildable, meaning color is deposited onto the hair with each wash. If you are using the product to refresh your already colored hair, we recommend using 1 – 2 times a week to refresh the color. If you are starting with no color in the hair, more consecutive washes and longer processing times may be needed. Once you have achieved your desired results, then you can continue to use 1 – 2 times a week to refresh the color. When you begin use of a traditional shampoo, the color will begin to fade.
DIY TIPS
Although fading will occur naturally, here are a few suggestions things you should try to **AVOID** to get the most out of your color:
Excessive exposure to water and/or sunlight.
Frequent shampooing of hair and using Deep Cleansing or anti dandruff shampoo.
Using alcohol based hairspray, gel or mousse and other alcohol based hair products.
Saltwater (Beach) and Chlorine water (Swimming pools).
Helpful hints:
Wear clothes you don't mind staining for the process of coloring your hair. Also use old towels you don’t mind staining for the process of coloring your hair.
Apply protection cream or petroleum jelly around the hairline, around the ears and neck to protect your skin from staining. Avoid getting any petroleum jelly on hair because hair color will not be able to color hair with petroleum.
Protect the floor with old towels you don't mind staining or use the newspapers or trash bags to cover the floor.
Wear plastic gloves to protect your hands from staining.
Rinse in a stainless sink if possible, some colors may stain white sinks and bathtubs.
